On the stretch between the exit of Murillo and La Esperanza (Caldas), in both directions. That is the only authorized entry to the Nevado.
Within Murillo’s urban area there is no peak and plate.

Besides peak and plate, the road has a permanent restriction for cargo vehicles from 3.4 tons and for those with more than 19 passengers.
Murillo is reached by three roads, and only one has peak and plate.
Paved. It is the one that crosses the restricted section on weekends and holidays.
Alternate route: Manizales → Mariquita → Armero → Líbano → Murillo.
Paved from start to finish. No pico y placa any day.
Uncovered. No pico y placa, but requires high vehicle and patience.
If you do the Nevado route with an authorized operator, you don’t need to bring your vehicle into the park. Pico y placa stops being your problem from Murillo.
Sí. El único ingreso autorizado queda dentro del tramo restringido, así que los sábados, domingos, festivos y días de temporada alta la medida decide si tu vehículo entra o no.
No. Entre semana no rige, salvo los días que se decreten en temporada alta. En esas fechas la medida se aprieta y llegan a autorizarse solo dos dígitos por día.
No. El casco urbano está fuera de la medida. La restricción empieza a la salida del pueblo, en dirección a Manizales.
Sí, a todos los vehículos motorizados. No hay exención por tipo de motor: las excepciones son por el servicio que presta el vehículo, no por cómo se mueve.
La reserva no exime del pico y placa. Lo que sí resuelve el problema es subir al parque con un operador autorizado: entonces no necesitas ingresar con tu carro.
En el puesto de control pueden impedirte el ingreso al corredor y al parque, además de las sanciones de tránsito que correspondan. El viaje se pierde ahí mismo.
